Group accommodation near Paris: a countryside break in Normandy

Planning a weekend with family, friends or colleagues near Paris? Normandy offers a countryside setting where you can spend time together without making a long journey the main event.

At Les Gîtes de Flaubert in Morville-le-Héron, in the Andelle Valley, five independent cottages provide up to 49 sleeping places in 17 bedrooms. Choose the combination that suits your group and keep separate spaces for rest.

A countryside break within reach of Paris

The journey from Paris can take around 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on your starting point, traffic and route. Rouen is around 25 minutes away, depending on your destination and traffic. Check your own journey before making plans, especially for a Friday departure.

The location works well for family reunions, birthdays, weekends with friends and residential team stays. If guests are travelling from different places, agree arrival times and transport arrangements in advance.

Choose accommodation for your group

Booking several independent cottages on one estate lets your group share the stay while keeping separate bedrooms, kitchens and living spaces.

  • 20 guests, 8 bedrooms: Le Flaubert and Le Bovary, the Les Dépendances option without Emma.
  • 24 guests, 9 bedrooms: Les Dépendances, including Le Flaubert, Le Bovary and Emma.
  • 25 guests, 8 bedrooms: La Cour de Flaubert, combining La Charretterie and Le Gustave.
  • 49 guests, 17 bedrooms: all five cottages, subject to availability.

Compare La Cour and Les Dépendances to choose the right room arrangement.

Space for meals, games and time together

A successful group stay needs more than enough beds. Think about where everyone will eat, relax and spend time together. The cottages have equipped kitchens, generous living areas and outdoor spaces. Pool tables, table football and pétanque provide options for shared leisure time; access depends on the cottages booked.

The private hot tub is in Le Gîte d’Emma only. It is included only when your booking includes Emma. Children remain under the responsibility of their accompanying adults.

La Cour can accommodate shared meals for 25 in La Charretterie. For other arrangements, discuss the spaces and meal plans with Aurélia and Christophe. 49 sleeping places do not mean a single dining or reception room for 49 people. Any outside catering, day visitors or special event arrangements should be agreed before booking.

Explore Normandy during your stay

The Andelle Valley is a base for discovering the region. Ideas include:

  • Rouen and its historic centre;
  • walks in the Forêt de Lyons;
  • Château de Vascœuil;
  • the village of Ry and its literary associations with Madame Bovary;
  • local markets and producers.

Why book directly?

Contacting the owners directly makes it easier to discuss room arrangements, your plans and the accommodation combination that suits your group. Ask for availability and a proposal based on your dates and requirements.

Consult the rates and conditions for the stay, what is included and any additional charges. Local services such as catering or transport are booked separately.

When should you book?

For spring weekends, French public-holiday weekends and school holidays, enquire early to have more choice. For groups of more than 20, coordinate dates with the whole group before confirming accommodation.

Tell us your arrival and departure dates, the number of adults and children, the number of bedrooms required and whether you need one or several cottages.
