Team building near Rouen: group accommodation and activities in Normandy

A team-building stay brings together activities, accommodation and the informal moments between them. At Les Gîtes de Flaubert, in Morville-le-Héron in the Andelle valley, groups can stay in independent cottages and plan a programme around working sessions, shared meals and leisure.

The estate offers configurations for 20, 24 or 25 guests, and up to 49 guests across all five cottages. These are sleeping capacities; meeting and dining arrangements need to be agreed separately.

Choose the accommodation for your team

La Cour de Flaubert: up to 25 guests

La Cour de Flaubert combines La Charretterie and Le Gustave, with 25 sleeping places and 8 bedrooms. Discuss your room allocation and the use of shared spaces before booking.

Les Dépendances: 20 or 24 guests

Les Dépendances combines Le Bovary and Le Flaubert for 20 guests in 8 bedrooms. Adding Emma brings the total to 24 guests in 9 bedrooms. Emma’s private hot tub is for two people and is only available when that cottage is booked.

The whole estate: up to 49 guests

Booking all five cottages provides up to 49 sleeping places and 17 bedrooms. This does not guarantee a single meeting or dining room for 49 people. Let us know the number of participants, individual-room needs, preferred layout and meal plans so we can confirm what is suitable.

Spend time together on site

Depending on the cottages reserved, leisure facilities include pool tables, table football, pétanque, darts, table tennis, terraces and outdoor areas. Shared cooking or a barbecue, when conditions allow, can also form part of the programme.

Wi-Fi and parking are available; discuss your working requirements and any electric-vehicle charging needs with the owners in advance. Equipment and outdoor spaces are distributed across the estate rather than included identically with every cottage.

Plan an activity with a local provider

Arb’Aventure, one of the activity providers presented in our French guide, offers options to explore for a team outing. Ask the provider about activities such as Arb’A’Tag, group sizes, supervision, accessibility, availability and pricing.

You can consider a half-day or full-day activity followed by a return to the cottages. Activities are booked and paid for separately; they are not automatically included in the accommodation.

Use the Normandy surroundings

The Andelle valley and forest of Lyons offer ideas for a walk or a nature break. Choose routes according to the weather, the group’s abilities and your available time. A programme might alternate a working session, lunch, an activity and an informal evening.

For more options, consult our local partners and guide to outings around Rouen. Confirm services directly before adding them to the schedule.

Why include an overnight stay?

A residential programme leaves time for conversations beyond the activity itself. Colleagues can meet over dinner or breakfast and stay in the same place, while the independent cottages retain separate spaces for rest.

These opportunities do not guarantee a particular team outcome. Clear objectives, a suitable activity and a realistic timetable remain essential.

Access, duration and budget

The French guide gives indicative driving times of around 25 minutes from Rouen and 1 hour 30 minutes from Paris. Actual travel depends on the departure point, route and traffic. Plan transfers and arrival times in advance.

Discuss a one-, two- or three-day programme with the owners and check the applicable accommodation conditions and minimum stay for your dates.

The French reference lists La Cour de Flaubert from €1,490 for two nights, including linen and end-of-stay cleaning. This is an indicative starting price, subject to dates and availability. Confirm the complete quote and any tourist tax. Meals, transport and external activities are separate.
