The accommodation and the meal are separate arrangements. Catering requires its own quote and is subject to availability and agreement; it is not automatically included in your cottage booking.

A meal that becomes part of the gathering

Watching the chef prepare food and sharing it as it is served can give the evening a relaxed focus. The menu, style of service and number of diners should be agreed with the caterer rather than assumed from a photograph.

Tell us what you are celebrating, how many people will sleep at the estate and how many will attend the meal. These may be different numbers, and the layout must suit the spaces reserved.

Briffaut Traiteur is the provider presented in our French article and on our seminar page for this type of experience. Contact the caterer to discuss the menu, availability, service and quote. Mention dietary requirements and allergies when making the enquiry.

An evening after a company retreat

After workshops or a team activity, a shared meal offers time for informal conversation. La Cour de Flaubert accommodates up to 25 guests in 8 bedrooms across La Charretterie and Le Gustave. This does not mean 25 individual bedrooms.

Choose accommodation and meal arrangements separately

• La Cour de Flaubert: up to 25 sleeping places and 8 bedrooms.
• Les Dépendances: up to 24 sleeping places and 9 bedrooms, including Emma; the 20-guest option has 8 bedrooms.
• The whole estate: up to 49 sleeping places in 17 bedrooms across five cottages.

Sleeping capacity is not dining or reception capacity. A meal for the whole group must be planned around the number attending, the spaces booked and the agreed layout. Let the owners know about anyone joining the meal without staying overnight.

Booking a combination of cottages does not provide exclusive use of the whole estate. Full privatisation means reserving all five cottages.

What to confirm before booking

• Your dates, number of nights, overnight guests and diners.
• The occasion, preferred menu, dietary needs and budget.
• The cooking location, installation, service and agreed timings.
• Any equipment or access needed by the caterer.
• A suitable alternative if the weather prevents the planned outdoor arrangement.

These details must be agreed before confirming the service. Respect the house rules, neighbours and the departure time for your accommodation.

Yes, you can discuss the idea with us. It depends on the provider’s availability and on agreement about the group, spaces, timing and conditions.

Is the meal included in the accommodation price?

No. Catering is a separate paid service with its own quote.

Is it possible for a private gathering or a business group?

Both can be considered. Explain your occasion and the number of diners before booking so the arrangement can be assessed.

Can it take place in every season?

Weather and the planned cooking and dining areas matter. Confirm a workable fallback with the owners and caterer; an outdoor meal cannot be guaranteed in all conditions.
